The Grit Truth
You can't skip to mirror. If your fine-grit work still has coarse scratches, they'll show through every time. This kit gets you from 400-grit belt finish to polish-ready in two controlled steps. The rubber bond spreads pressure evenly — no dig-in, no ripples.
Includes: 8 mounted abrasives (wheels + points) in Fine and Extra-Fine + 4 unmounted wheels + 2 mandrels.
Knife maker FAQ
Does this kit create a mirror finish by itself?
It is a scratch-refinement and mirror-prep kit. A true mirror finish still depends on even prep work, a sensible grit progression, and final polishing steps.
When should I switch grits?
Move to the next grit only after the previous scratch pattern is consistent. Rushing grit progression is the fastest way to leave cloudy scratches behind.
Is this for new blades or restoration?
Both, as long as the blade geometry is already sound. For deeper repair and touch-up work, compare the Blade Restoration Kit first.
